Park / Pierrefonds-Roxboro (West Island)
Parc-nature du Cap-Saint-Jacques
LONG WAY OUT, SLOW PAYOFF
A big West Island shoreline park with forest loops and lake views, worth it only if you have spare time and a way there.

The verdict
This is a half-day commitment to the far west end of the island, not a quick detour from Griffintown. If you want a long walk in autumn woods by the water on a clear day, it is a good one, and the park is open until 10pm daily on its regular schedule. With only four days and plenty of closer parks, treat it as optional and go only if the Mount Royal crowd is not your thing.
- Several marked walking loops on the city's own page
- Lakeside setting with beach access trail
- Open 7am-10pm on the regular schedule
Why maybeSourced trails and daily hours are fine, but the travel time from the city centre makes it a poor use of a short trip unless you specifically want a big nature outing.
