VINTAGE, REMADE

A Saint-Henri atelier since 2004 that rebuilds archival clothing into new pieces, closer to a designer than a thrift rack.

The verdict

Go if you want a one-of-a-kind piece rather than a rummage. The Main describes the shop as repairing and reworking clothing from the 1920s to the 90s into contemporary garments, and the online shop is dresses at roughly $200 to $420. It is closed on Thanksgiving Monday and Sunday, so plan it for Tuesday to Thursday afternoon. Not the stop for bargains or browsing by the pound.

  • Founded 2004, reworks archival clothing into new garments
  • In The Main's 2026 Saint-Henri guide
  • Different from the usual thrift circuit

What it costs

$$$$Est. $118-422 / person

Dresses on the official online shop were listed from $118 to $422 CAD (available ones $228-$422). Tier is a loose fit for a shop; treat as a purchase range, not a meal cost.

Our estimate from posted prices, CAD, before tax and tip. Québec purchases carry the 5% federal GST plus the 9.975% Québec Sales Tax (QST, TVQ in French): 14.975% combined on taxable items. Tourisme Montréal: it is customary to tip restaurant servers, taxi drivers and hairdressers 15% of the bill, before taxes. Bellhops, porters and doormen generally get at least $2 per bag or service; coffee and food counters often have a tip cup by the register.
