The verdict

Worth a 30 minute detour if you are already near the Basilica. It is a proper poster gallery rather than a souvenir shop, so go to look at Art Deco and mid-century travel and advertising pieces. Budget matters: originals are priced from under $150 up to $2,500 on the site, so bring a tube or ask about framing and shipping. Open Thursday to Tuesday, so Wednesday is off the table.

  • Original vintage posters in an 1830s building
  • Styles: Art Deco, Art Nouveau/Belle Époque, mid-century, surrealism, contemporary
  • Wide price range, entry under $150

Browsing is free. Site price filters run under $150, $150-500, $500-1,500, $1,500-2,500 CAD per poster.

Our estimate from posted prices, CAD, before tax and tip. Québec purchases carry the 5% federal GST plus the 9.975% Québec Sales Tax (QST, TVQ in French): 14.975% combined on taxable items. Tourisme Montréal: it is customary to tip restaurant servers, taxi drivers and hairdressers 15% of the bill, before taxes. Bellhops, porters and doormen generally get at least $2 per bag or service; coffee and food counters often have a tip cup by the register.
