The verdict

Alia is a night out with a crowd-pleasing menu attached: Greek and Levantine mezze, beef tartare, a double-truffle cacio and big steaks, then DJ sets as dinner turns into a party. It only opens Thursday to Saturday, so on this trip it is Thursday Oct 15 or nothing. Go if you want one loud, dressed-up, late dinner with a crowd; skip it if the goal is the best cooking in the city, because the praise so far is mostly about the music, the room and the service.

  • From Alessia's list
  • Opened May 22, 2026, on race weekend: one of the newest rooms in town
  • Dinner and a DJ party in one room, no second venue needed
  • The Double Truffle Cacio is the signature

Why maybeOn Alessia's list and well liked by diners, but it opens Thursday to Saturday only, so Thursday Oct 15 is the single possible night, and it is a party-first supper club with no independent critic review found yet. Worth it only if we want that kind of night.

Alia, the short list

  • Must order

    Double Truffle Cacio

    $37

Linguine with parmesan, black pepper, truffle paste and shaved black truffle.

RestoMontreal's supper-club roundup calls it a signature and diners keep naming the truffle pasta. If you order one thing, this is it.

    On their menu: Official website

  • Must order

    Beef Tartare

    $28

Beef tenderloin with mac sauce, capers, shaved parmesan and chive oil, served with crostini.

Listed as a house signature on RestoMontreal and one of the dishes diners mention most. Easy to share as an opener.

    On their menu: Official website

  • Kopanisti

    $12

House-smoked Greek feta with roasted red peppers and Aleppo pepper, with grilled pita.

The cheapest way into the Greek side of the menu. Pair it with the eggplant dip and you have a mezze course for $24.

    On their menu: Official website

  • Melitzanosalata

    $12

Fire-roasted eggplant with pomegranate molasses and walnuts, with grilled pita.

Smoky, sweet-sour counterpoint to the feta dip before the heavier plates land.

    On their menu: Official website

  • Pulpo

    $32

Grilled octopus with romesco, salsa verde and charred lemon.

Octopus comes up in diner reviews alongside the tartare and prawns. The priciest starter, so split it.

    On their menu: Official website

  • Moroccan Cigars

    $21

Five pieces with chili jam and Aleppo honey; marked kosher-style on the menu.

Sweet-heat finger food built for a table that is mostly drinking.

On their menu: Official website. 5 pieces

  • Rigatoni al Telefono

    $32

Rigatoni in vodka tomato sauce with sun-dried tomatoes, cream and burrata.

The other pasta, and the safer pick if truffle is not your thing.

    On their menu: Official website

  • Grilled Lamb Chops

    $44

Four chops with zucchini ratatouille, mint chimichurri and smashed fingerling potatoes.

The third signature RestoMontreal highlights, and the most sensible main to split alongside a pasta.

On their menu: Official website. 4 chops

What people actually say

Recurring themes, not cherry-picked quotes.

Love

  • The music and the room: DJ sets and the party energy are the most praised part of a night here
  • Warm, attentive service that keeps pace with a busy room, with several diners noting the food came out quickly
  • Food described as fresh and nicely presented, with the truffle pasta and beef tartare named most often
  • A natural pick for birthdays, girls' nights and group celebrations

Know before you go

  • The atmosphere draws more consistent praise than the cooking; at least one September diner found the food merely fine
  • Drinks are where the bill climbs; one diner flags a $23 margarita
  • Energy builds through the evening, so this is not a quiet dinner
  • Open Thursday to Saturday from 7pm only; closed Sunday to Wednesday
  • Closed Thanksgiving Monday; Thursday Oct 15 is our only possible night
  • Book through OpenTable, linked from the official site
  • Cocktails run pricey: one diner cites a $23 margarita

Dishes that keep coming up

Double Truffle Cacio (truffle pasta), Beef tartare, Grilled octopus, Grilled prawns, Lamb chops, Fattoush

Room
A chic, Mediterranean-styled room that starts as a dinner service and shifts into a DJ-led party later in the night. RestoMontreal likens the feel to Mykonos, and one diner mentions a 90s-nostalgia room with song-themed wall decor.
Service
Consistently described as friendly, attentive and quick, including adjusting drinks to taste.
Value
Food reads as fairly priced for downtown by diners; cocktails are the expensive part.

Synthesized from about 30 RestoMontreal diner reviews dated July 25 to Sept 27, 2026 and one RestoMontreal supper-club roundup (updated Sept 2, 2026). Directory reviews are almost uniformly positive and may be self-selected. No independent critic review (Tastet, La Presse, Gazette, Cult MTL) or Reddit thread surfaced; OpenTable, Google and Instagram could not be read, and the web search budget ran out before a deeper critic sweep.
